Yet Another Week….
Helllooo!!! I'm back! Oh right… like you guys were eagerly waiting for yet another post. Oh well… Helen's still on leave, prolly still enjoying the sun on the tiny islands in Maldives. One lucky lady eh? Maldives…. Tt's normally a paradise on earth that perhaps some could only dream of… and she spent like what? Only 4 days there?! what a waste…. But I guess work commitments just spell a short getaway.. At least she gets a breather.
Anyways, we got our fair share of press time on Sunday eh? Just short of hitting the headlines on the straits times cover page.. What other hooha could it be this time other than the tvc's that a currently being aired. What do you guys think of the ad anyway? The people at home were commenting that the positive comments we got that were published in the papers seemingly came only from nus-ians. I din't really notice but well, we should embrace the idea and support the ad shouldn't we? Shall not further comment on it.
I really aint got any refreshing idea as to what to put up here and I so suspect my posts are sounding so like my blog's posts… just a little issue I have with getting used to uni life… OK… I know it's already been a year, but a personal issue I have with sch life all this while has been the lack of having a class. Well… it could just be me who's feeling having a class would make life much better. Of cos having a standard class would mean the bidding system wouldn't come into play. But a personal opinion is that a class would make a world of a difference because you really get to make proper friends and all. Of cos if you're someone who's really active in cca's, orientation and hostel life, it's different. But if you're not… I can safely say the so-called friends you make in sch are merely hi-bye acquaintances whom after completion of that module you got to know him'her through, it's bye bye. You don't make friends who are those going out khaki kind. Is it just me who has an issue with this? Or there are like minded souls ard?
Ok.. I know I'm so going to get shot for the following. When we first entered uni, we must have been 18/19 years old right? Did your parents get so very concerned and gan chiong over your sch affairs that they started calling up whatever numbers they could get their hands on to make enquiries or absurd requests? I find it all very out of the world. Well, excluding the ns guys who are most of the time uncontactable and parents have to do certain things on their behalf, the rest are 19 just 2 years short of adulthood and parents still babysitting if I may say. I so suspect it's a singaporean thingy. Thank god my parents operated on a
laissez-faire basis, might be a wrong choice of words but u get what I mean right? Like… when you're this old, you should learn to be independent!!!
Oh well… enough grousing for a Monday morning… must be the Monday blues. :p
