Well well, I guess we've been introduced by Helen in this BBA space of ours already. Myself, Alex and CK have been given the task of keeping this place alive cos Helen's obviously been so very busy the last couple of weeks to update regularly. We've been here since almost a month now and "work" has been pretty alright. It's been kinda fun having been able to actually get in touch with the prospective bizaders… the ones whom I predict will breeze through exams with CAP 4.0 and above to be precise. From calling them, to getting rejected, to getting warned not to send them emails again cos' they're not coming to join us, to speaking with parents. You name it, we've handled it during the many many phone calls we had to make in the beginning. Then came the one week of luncheon sessions at the NUS Guild House. I knew that place existed but never stepped foot into that place before and I believe many of you too. :) It's a nice place with quality food I must say. But one thing, if you guys even want to step into the bar, you should seriously take my advice and put on a collared shirt for guys. If not you'll be handed a ultra hip looking flowery hawaiian shirt to put on. Well, of course the lunch was not all about food, we actually sat down with people from the industry, accounting to be precise. Network network you see. Not forgetting our very bright graduates who came down to join us too. Just looking at them, it inspires. Seriously. I mean, these are people with high CAPs, which I'm not quite in the league yet. And tt's precisely why I'm suddenly motivated to work towards the 4.0 league. Haha. Not just academically, they've clinched jobs with companies with nice sounding names. :) If they managed to inspire even someone like myself, I believe the incoming freshies were too. And hopefully we managed to sway their votes to come and join us instead of the believed to be "trendy, hip and cool" SMU and NTU, the latter not very much in the competition for whatever reason I don't know. Alright.. Enough about the luncheon.
We had the musical which Prof Quek has acclaimed to be VERY GOOD. And it was. You know we were given or rather offered complimentary tickets but I have no idea why so few students came forward to get them. I mean… FREE ticket! Haha… I mean… I don't mean to sound like a free loader, but certain free stuff are worth taking and this was a classic example. Free ticket seats were supposedly not THAT good, I was at the second row btw, but I actually found it great. Lol. Not because I'm short sighted, you could see almost about everything seated there (including the conductor's head bobbing up and down). And I bet those of you who went dint know that "Ming" really cried while acting at the last part right. You see? That's what you get to see at the front.
Next event in line was the welcome tea for the freshmen which I didn't attend so I haven't got much to comment on but I believe the photos for that day are available in the photo gallery.
Extremely long post I guess, it's to make up for lost time. Look out for more posts from us in the coming days! I can't guarantee they'll be "wow" exciting, but at least some new stuff to read I guess cos I would be sick of visiting a blog with the same latest entry everytime I visit. :)
exam results out tmr!!!! Crap.
Cheers.
