Network and being connected
Have you heard of Friendster? Well, embarassingly I haven't. Very sotong and sua-ku, isn't it? Was just introduced to Linkedin www.linkedin.com . It is a business version of friendster, an online professional networking service. A very powerful e-networking tool to widen your network and contacts. It is highly popular and widely used in US. Basically you could build your networks virtually, and you can also see the networks of your friends who are linked to you. This means that you have access to a very large network and it's all down there on the web for you to view. To get introduced to a friend's friend, you need to go through your friend. Ask Bjorn, or Samantha and Emily in Career Services Office if you need to know more.
