Network and being connected

Have you heard of Friendster? Well, embarassingly I haven't. Very sotong and sua-ku, isn't it? Was just introduced to Linkedin www.linkedin.com . It is a business version of friendster, an online professional networking service. A very powerful e-networking tool to widen your  network and contacts. It is highly popular and widely used in US. Basically you could build your networks virtually, and you can also see the networks of your friends who are linked to you. This means that you have access to a very large network and it's all down there on the web for you to view. To get introduced to a friend's friend, you need to go through your friend. Ask Bjorn, or Samantha and Emily in Career Services Office if you need to know more.

WAH! Friendster is like... 2 years ago lor! But i agree, Linkedin.com is really useful! For example... you are doing a project and you need to know some scientists, just click into Helen's profile (if any)!

Friendster is actually undergoing serious growth issues and offered themselves up for acquisitions late last yr. I am sure many are pissed with Friendster's slow speeds and unfriendly user interface thats peppered with too much ads.
Myspace.com is the No.1 social network in the world although thats another mess as well. I personally like Facebook.com although that is currently not available to Singapore yet. For more on Facebook, just google it. =)

hey Bjorn not to worry, a more superior equivalent of fackbook www.campusjoint.com has been officially launched in Singapore. Check it out. They are gonna have a new feature which is a hybrid of Wikipedia and google answers, I am sure that would help my course assignment and projects..
