Outreach @ NJC
Just returned from an outreach talk at NJC. I went without harboring any expectations. It was the last talk of the day. The turnout was good at LT1, almost filling the full capacity of the lecture theatre. Think it's about 400 - 450.
For NJCians in BBA, you may wish to pop by your alma mater someday. The school has recently undergone some renovations.
I went through our USPs (Unique Selling Propositions, and of course the University Scholars Program ;-) Concluded the presentation by asking what do you like about coming to NUS Business School? The first to answer was affirmative about the prestige, global recognition and reputation. Then another student responded, it's the new double-degree programs. A third student liked the overseas exposure associated with student exchange and NOC (NUS Overseas College) programs.
I can only conclude that students are now getter more discerning and smarter. They know what they want in life.
As a gesture of appreciation, the speaker received a gift. Guess what? ;-)
