I have witnessed singing talents during this year Stardust '06. Ranging from girls with powerful lungs, to guys playing the guitar and dudes moving to the the groove.
Stardust is an annual Talentime competition that is organized by NUS Business School to discover the hidden performing talents in Bizad. Traditionally, the scope of the competition has been limited to NUS Business students only. However in 2004, the competition was extended to the entire NUS population to garner more participation and audience viewership. Therefore in 2006, the Stardust Committee has decided to further extend the competition to external universities, namely NTU and SMU, and to the various JCs and polytechnics to enlarge the competition to a grander scale.
Rounds of auditions attracted loads of wannabes. A few of my close friends took part also:)
During the semi-finals, when the judges chose the top 8. Very nerve-wrecking moment. A few of the crowd's hot favourites include bizaders Dann and Tai Tong. I felt that they sang really very well and I applaud them for joining the competition:)
And finally, the finals. The day we have all been waiting for, to crown the starduster..i mean the winner!;)
The organiser, Yong ann, simply refuses to have his picture take saying, "my hair very messy".

The stage was glamourously done-up. Kudos to the stardust committee:) everyone was impressed. And it was a full-house concert!

Surath - this guy is unbelievably popular. and amazingly talented. the song expresses much of his feelings. no one was surprised that he was the winner:) congrats!
bryan adams - when you love someone
Zhao Song Song - he chose the right song! i melted when he sang it. my all-time favourite song from the korean movie the live piano that accompanied his singing was soothing and nice. he definitely knows how to tug at girls' heartstrings. he came in second
fan yi cheng - I believe
Lim Wei Zheng - the only representative from bizad:) he did all of us proud by putting his powerful vocals to good use. he is my mento/ogl. guy who can sing and dance. plus, he is super friendly and nice. has loads of supporters:) nickname "jack" because his gf is jill.hehe. and he came in third!!
Daniel Yi Jia - popular KR guy with the funky hair. has this boy-next-door charm. has the idol looks and quite a good voice.
z chen - ling cheng san dian zhong
Cheryl - also known as the girl who starred in Jack Neo's movie looks really like pocahontas. confident girl.
v williams - colours of the wind
Charlene - i think she sang quite a tough song. too matured for her age. but overall, she had some support from the crowd.
mariah carey - hero
Yan Leen - has a stage presence. seems very natural in front of the crowd. i love her attire that night.
landy wen - bei dou xing
Andrea - super duper powerful voice. i enjoyed her performance. soothing and relaxing. really sounded like corrinne may.
corrinne may - angels in disguise
the green colour words spell "WEI ZHENG". :)
