StarDust - part 2
Was busy concentrating on some serious number-crunching, when I was gently reminded to turn up for the annual StarDust event on Friday evening. (Must admit that I was feeling reluctant at first, as I was so engrossed and focused on my work. How wrong was I, and how grateful I was to Chelsey who dragged me and made me put aside the work. The feeling before and after the event was simply so different!)
Thought we were going to be late, but as usual, all events are never punctual ;-) We were JIT.
The standards were high, we enjoyed while waiting for Wei Zheng's turn. Wei Zheng....I have always known him as a nice, polite boy when he comes round our office. When he first stepped on stage, I was worried for him, he seemed such a nice kid ready to be swallowed by the audience and judges. But when the music turned on, when he started performed, I was totally taken aback: he's totally different, with such a rich voice, and polished showmanship. It is stark contrast to his usual mannerism. I simply can't believe my eyes! Wei Zheng, this is dedicated to you.
What was even more moving was, I was pleasantly suprised that the BIZAD supporters sitting the row behind us, as well as another in the right side of the theaterette, made and waved BIG CARDBOARDs with Wei Zheng's name on it. We cheered loud, very loud. That's the BIZAD spirit!
Understand we taped it, and will upload the file soon. Motion picture speaks a thousand words. You will know what I mean when you watch the playback ;-)
