Waffle Shop

Earlier was ice cream, now waffle.

It's now 10pm. Getting hungry? Time for supper snack.

Heard that David has started out a small waffle joint @ PGP. Understand that it is just newly opened, 2-week-old, I think?

BBA hostelites, check it out.

(David BBA2 has dabbled his hands in many things, including a web design firm in b-school incubator. Started this small joint with the support of the Canteen Uncle "The Boss".  I have been wondering and asked David: what has waffle got to do with web design?)

Live a stone's throw away from PGP, hmmm.... wonder what time it closes..... will drive my son+hubby down to support him someday. My son can probably help to give candid customer feedback. He has a sweet-tooth, likes waffle and ice cream, and he is a fussy eater.

The food in the picture doesn't look that appetising...

Hi Helen,

Hope to be able to serve you soon!

The Waffle Shop has served 5964 customers as of today since its opening in March 2006. We expect that to reach 10,000 by the next 2.5 weeks..

However, it has only survived on its basic menu of Gelare-style waffles with ice cream.

The picture you see is actually a self initiated creation by one of our very dedicated staff. We love feedback, and have thrived on it.

Thanks for your feedback Ling, we will gather more comments and will improve where neccessary...

David

Ok first of all ur pics are really well done. Darn Enticing BUT.... the real deal is really way pathetic the way i see it. (In fact I bought it).... the waffle really fits the Lido or any other neighbourhood confectionary rather than that of the gelare stds. I mean size/ colour/ crunchy wise~ gawd it's a mega huge difference. But service is gd really gd:) Although I was pretty upset that they only had one type of waffle on the menu during that day...

Anyways, kudos for opening up a decent store afterall everyone craves something sweet once in a while. :)

Aik and I were there for afternoon tea today. We thought we'll just pop by. Nice to bump into David. His recommendation: we had waffle top with rum-&-raisin ice cream. Thanks David.

Hi Raj,

Thanks for your comments. The waffle shop @ PGP is just at its experimental stage this sem.

Next sem, our menu will be expanded to 2 to 3 times its size with new exciting items coming up. For now, they remain a secret =P

Our counter will also be expanded to almost twice its current size.

As for the waffle machines, you can try to ask those shops, but my guess is that they will tell you it is a secret, too.

Best regards,

David
